Our Process
From your first inquiry to gotcha day, every step has a purpose. My goal is to make the experience exciting, educational, and stress-free while ensuring each puppy is placed in the home that's the best fit for them.
Step 1. Reach Out
Send me a message through Facebook, Instagram, my phone number, email, or Gooddog! I'll answer any questions you have and help decide if a Diddle Bros puppy is the right fit for your family.
Step 2. Fill Out Application
When you're ready, fill out the puppy application. You're welcome to submit it whether you're interested in a puppy that's currently available or planning ahead for a future litter. I simply ask that your application be completed before we schedule a FaceTime call.
Step 3. FaceTime & Reservation
Once your application has been approved, we'll schedule a FaceTime call so we can get to know each other, answer any remaining questions, and make sure we're the right fit. Since I don't allow in-person visits before puppies are fully vaccinated, this is also a great opportunity to virtually meet me, see where puppies are raised, and get a feel for my program.
If you're reserving a current available puppy, you'll place a reservation deposit after our call to officially reserve your puppy.
If you're planning for a future litter, you'll place a waitlist deposit to secure your spot in reservation order for a future puppy.
Step 4. Reserve Your Puppy
*For waitlist families only
If you joined the waitlist before the litter was born, this is when your reservation becomes official! Once the puppies are born and you've selected (or been matched with) your puppy, you'll submit the remainder of your reservation deposit to officially reserve your puppy.
If you reserved an available puppy, you've already completed this step!
Step 5. Watch Them Grow
Now comes the fun part! You'll receive regular photos, videos, and updates as your puppy grows. I love sharing milestones, personality updates, and all the little moments that make puppyhood so special.
Step 6. The Matching Process
No two puppies or families are exactly alike, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all matching process. I consider each puppy's personality, confidence, and energy level alongside your lifestyle and what you're looking for. Sometimes the right match is clear early on. Other times it's worth waiting until the puppies are older and I've had more time to evaluate them. My priority is always placing each puppy in the home where they'll be happiest and most successful.
Step 7. Go Home Day!
It's finally gotcha day! By this point, you've watched your puppy grow from tiny newborn to confident little dachshund. At 10 weeks old, your puppy is ready to head home with age-appropriate veterinary care, a puppy package full of essentials, and a lifetime of support from me.
